Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership (NHCP) will host two webinars during this year’s Race Equality Week (7-11 February) in partnership with diversity champions Race Equality Matters. Both events will be held initially live via MS Teams, with recordings made available later on the NHCP YouTube account.

The first session will take place on Tuesday 8 February from 1:30pm to 3pm and is open to all staff across our system organisations. Yvonne Coghill, founder of Excellence in Action and a former NHS director of workforce race equality, leads a webinar entitled ‘Race and health in the NHS and the consequences for patient care’.

On Friday 11 February, CEO of Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT) and Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership Board Member, Angela Hillery, will take to the virtual stage. Her talk is entitled ‘Why are we still talking about race?’, taking place from 1pm to 2pm. Like the first event of the week, Angela’s discussion is open to all staff across Northamptonshire’s system and beyond.

Together the mini series of events seeks to share the harmonising values of Race Equality Week, combining diverse voices that represent colleagues and society as a whole.
