Wellbeing Festival

Take our festival challenges

Are you getting inspired? We have a series of challenges for you to try to help you focus on your wellbeing, can you complete them all?

Step challenge

Step challenge

Did you know that two out of five adults in the UK don’t achieve the recommended levels of physical activity to benefit their health?

It’s not always easy to fit physical activity into our busy lives – but being inactive and leading a sedentary lifestyle can contribute significantly to the risk of developing heart and circulatory disease.

Never fear! Our Stair Climbing Challenge will help you increase your activity levels, while also improving your mental and physical wellbeing – what’s not to like about that?

It couldn’t be simpler to get involved. All you need to do is check out how far you want to climb and track your progress. Will you scale a tall building or conquer a mountain?

Find out more in an information pack, which can be downloaded here.

Photo challenge

Photo challenge

Following our ‘Photography for Wellbeing’ session, we want to see how you’ve been inspired to get behind the camera.

That’s why we decided to launch a photography competition. All we ask is that you step outside across the week and enjoy a wellbeing break, taking a photo each day that relates to the themes below:

  • Tuesday 29 June – Morning
  • Wednesday 30 June – Look up
  • Thursday 1 July – Look down
  • Friday 2 July – Garden
  • Saturday 3 July – Nature
  • Sunday 4 July – Water
  • Monday 5 July – Green

Upload your results to Twitter or Instagram, tagging @ourNHCP and using the hashtag #VWBF21 – and we’ll make a collection of our favourites.

Music challenge

Music can feed the soul and help you relax. This challenge is a simple one – take 30 minutes to stop and listen to some songs. It’s a time to reflect and rest, with just you and the music.

Once you’ve spent some time listening to your favourite feel-good tunes, tell us all the songs that feed your soul by completing the form here.

Let’s make the ultimate Virtual Wellbeing Festival 2021 playlist!

We’re thrilled that so many of you have contributed to our collective playlist throughout the week – have a look at what you’ve created here!

More resources

If you’ve already got involved with the Virtual Wellbeing Festival’s various challenges – never fear, we’ve got even more resources to keep you occupied.

For the puzzlers, quizzers and artists among you, there is sure to be something that catches your fancy in our digital activity pack. Share your wisdom with colleagues, or just test out your brain in a quiet moment – you can access the pack here.

After this week of events, we know everyone is going to be keen to keep tabs on their wellbeing – and what better way of checking in than recording how you’re feeling each day with colours. ‘My Year in Pixels’ allows you to do just that, offering a colour key to track your mood in a fun way. Get your colourful pens out and never forget to take a moment to reflect! You can download your own ‘My Year in Pixels’ chart here.
