Hello, welcome, it is good to see you here!

We all take steps to look after our physical health, whether it is eating healthy or simply brushing our teeth. But when was the last time you took care of your mental wellbeing? We are inviting you to take a pledge to look after your mental wellbeing,ย using the โ€˜5 ways to wellbeingโ€™ as your guide:

  1. Connect with the people around me
  2. Be active in a way that suits me and that I enjoy
  3. Take notice and be mindful of my surroundings
  4. Keep learning new skills and developing myself
  5. Give what I can whether it is my time or simply a random act of kindness

While a focus on these steps has been shown to have a positive impact on mental wellbeing, how you apply them to your life is up to you!

For ideas on easy steps you could take select one of the 5 ways above or make your pledge now…

What are the 5 ways to wellbeing?

I pledge to look after my mental wellbeing in the same I would my physical health.

I pledge that I will start thinking about my own wellbeing more and treating myself. At the moment I tend to focus on my husband and kids. I struggle to identify things I want whereas they find it easier to choose what they want to do, meaning I will get left out because I have normally spent all the money I have that month on other things.

I am making this pledge in other to restructure my well being and that of others that I will come in contact with. I am pledging to be more connected to people than before, I will watch what I eat and also endeavor to be more active by engaging on daily exercise, creating time for myself no matter how small, being mindful of things and people around me, being creative and learning new skills to develop my career and finally rendering help to anyone that I come in contact with.

I am making this pledge because i look after my physical being very well via daily exercise and eating healthy but i don't spend much time looking after my mental well being as i find it easier to block out what makes me feel low instead of facing it. I am going to try to be more proactive with my thoughts and deal with the bad and upsetting ones rather then block them out so i can be an overall better and happier person for me and a better role model for my daughter.
