A series of informal in-person activity groups to share experiences and provide support to people who have dementia, and their carers, have been launched by Northamptonshire Carers. An image of a 'Sit and Keep Fit' session for people with dementia and their carers.

These are all free to attend, and people do not need to have had a formal diagnosis to join. Those who are living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) are also welcome.

Sessions include a mixture of thoughtful activities which will be both indoor and outdoor based, as well as advice from professionals about fire safety, fraud prevention and more.

The groups are set in a relaxed environment to share experiences, meet others who are in similar situations and make friends. Meetings take place in various locations around the county.
