Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership (NHCP) is seeking four Independent Non-Executive Members for Northamptonshire’s proposed new Integrated Care Board.
The Integrated Care Board (ICB) will be a new statutory body responsible for local NHS services, functions, performance and budgets. It will replace the existing NHS Northamptonshire Clinical Commissioning Group as part of the wider Northamptonshire Integrated Care System from April 2022, subject to government legislation.
The role of the Independent Non-Executive Member is to help shape a long-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties and objectives of Northamptonshire’s ICB, and for the stewardship of public money.
Bringing independent oversight and constructive challenge to the priorities, plans and performance of the ICB executive team, Members will promote open and transparent decision-making that facilitates consensus.
The successful candidates will need to operate beyond traditional organisational boundaries, driving forward the vision of integration, collaboration and system working by forging productive relationships across local health, social care and voluntary partners.
Members will have a key role in ensuring that the voice and needs of patients and communities are central to ICB discussions and decisions, so that strategies and services are inclusive and accessible to the whole population, and deliver the best possible health outcomes for all.
The four Independent Non-Executive Member roles currently being recruited are:
- Chair of Audit Committee
- Chair of Remuneration, Integrated Planning and Resources Committees, and Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Chair of Delivery & Performance, and Quality Committees
- Chair of Primary Care and Joint Commissioning Committees
