Healthwatch Northamptonshire is seeking a new chair and volunteer members for its Advisory Board to help improve the public voice in health and care services for local people.

The Healthwatch Northamptonshire Advisory Board is a statutory body established under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.

The chair has an important role, including working with staff to review the overall strategy and business plan for the delivery of the Healthwatch Northamptonshire contract and determining the work plan for the Healthwatch Northamptonshire Advisory Board, ensuring that it functions effectively and reaches sound decisions.

Advisory Board members are recruited on a voluntary basis, and Healthwatch is especially looking for people with an interest in carers, mental health, children and young people, acute services, learning disability, physical disability, GP services, BAME communities and ambulance services.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 30 June. To find out more about both roles visit the Healthwatch Northamptonshire website.
