A new member of Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership’s leadership team has taken up her post to help drive our work towards a positive lifetime of health, wellbeing and care in our community.
Alison Gilbert, a trained clinical pharmacist with extensive experience in health and care system transformation, has been appointed Director of Transformation Delivery for Northamptonshire CCGs, a position which will see her take a leading role within NHCP.
Before starting her new role in December 2019, Alison worked as Managing Director of the East of England Cancer Alliance, and prior to this was Director of Delivery and Partnerships for the Hertfordshire and West Essex Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP). In her STP role Alison had responsibility, among other things, for the delivery of transformation workstreams and the development of collaborative place-based alliances between local health and social care organisations.
Alison said her ambition for her new Partnership role was to bring ‘neutral enabling leadership’ to the heart of NHCP’s transformational delivery programme, supporting collaborative improvements in the health and care of our county’s population.
She said: “I am delighted to be joining the CCGs and Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership.
“I am a lady with a passion for the improvement of the health and care of local people. Having initially trained as a clinical pharmacist, I have spent most of the last decade working in a range of NHS and local government roles across systems to better integrate health and care services for local people. I am looking forward to working alongside colleagues across NHCP to take this forward in Northamptonshire.”
