Back in August, we reported that Northamptonshire County Council’s Public Health team had approved eight diverse and innovative projects from the healthy town fund. This fund provides opportunities for the county’s seven district Health and Wellbeing Forums to propose innovative projects that contribute to local health and wellbeing priorities within their district.

A further nine projects have now been approved across the county, bringing the total number of projects up to seventeen. The nine additional projects are as follows:

• Corby Borough Council – Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP)

• Corby Borough Council – Improved Emotional Wellbeing project

• Corby Borough Council – Community in Sheds

• Daventry District Council – Brixworth Parkrun

• Daventry District Council – Being My-self

• East Northants Council – Young Healthwatch Obesity project

• East Northants Council – SHAPE project

• Borough Council of Wellingborough – Home @lone

• Northampton Borough Council – Action for Happiness

The projects are being delivered throughout 2019 and 2020 and there will be regular communication on their progress at the individual Health and Wellbeing Forums from the project leads.
